Disroot's Cloud service is powered by Nextcloud. It allows you to host and share your files online and have several online functionalities, such as calendar sharing, contacts management, video calls and much more.
Nextcloud offers safe, secure, and compliant sharing solution based on standards compatible with any operating system.
Most importantly, all your data is stored on our encrypted cloud instance! This means that no one is able to see the content of your files if not explicitly allowed by you. Not even system administrators.

Cloud Storage Space
With your Disroot account, you get 2GB FREE storage.
It is possible to extend your cloud storage from 2GB to 14, 29 or 54GB for the cost of 0.15 euro per GB per month. You can also choose to use some or all of the additional space for mail storage, please specify that in the comment section in the request form.
To request extra storage you need to fill in this form.
Cloud feature highlights:
All your files that are stored on the Disroot cloud are encrypted with encryption keys generated from your password. No-one, not even system administrators can see the content of your files. The administrators can only see the file's name, its size and its mime-type (what kind of file it is: video, text, etc).
IMPORTANT WARNING !!!
In case you forget your password you won't be able to recover your files unless you have selected "Password recovery option" in your "Personal" settings. This however means that you give admins a general permission to access your files. The safest way is to never loose your password and always have your files backed up elsewhere.

Nextcloud uses only server side encryption. This means your encryption key pair (private and public) are stored on the server and are vulnerable to bruteforce attacks or MITM (man in the middle attacks) in case the server is compromised or confiscated.
End-to-End Encryption -> Currently Disabled !!
Nextcloud End-to-End encryption offers the ultimate protection for your data. Nextcloud's E2E encryption plugin enables users to pick one or more folders on their desktop or mobile client to be encrypted using End-to-End encryption. Folders can be shared with other users and synced between devices but are not readable on the server side.
End-to-end encryption is still in alpha state, don't use this in production and only with test data!

Access and organize your data on any platform. Use the Desktop, Android or iOS clients to work with your files on the go or synchronize your favorite folders seamlessly between your desktop and laptop devices.
Calendars and Contacts
Share your calendar/s with other Nextcloud users or groups on your Nextcloud server, easily and quickly. Store your contacts in Nextcloud and share them among your devices so you always have access to it no matter which device you are currently on.

Deck helps you organize your personal or team work within Nextcloud. You can add tasks, classify them, share them and comment on them.
Create pads or spreadsheets directly from Nextcloud and keep track of them.
Note! Pads and spreadsheets are part of another service and its content isn't stored in your cloud. Additionally pads can theoretically be accessed by anyone who can "guess" the random URL leading to them.
Create your own groups of users/colleagues/friends to easily share content with. Your circles can be public, private (require invite though visible to others) or secret (require password and invisible).
Audio/video conference calls. Securely communicate with your friends and family using rich audio and video from your browser. All calls are peer 2 peer utilizing WebRTC technology so the only bottleneck is your local internet speed rather than Disroot's server resources.
You can create a public link that you can share with people that don't have a Nextcloud account.
Allows users to create a hash checksum of a file.
Possible algorithms are md5, sha1, sha256, sha384, sha512 and crc32.
